Web3 adoption and naming outlook

See sourced blockchain adoption data, Freename explorer metrics and clearly labelled scenarios.

What we can measure without inventing domain-sales data

There is no single audited public dataset that aggregates every Web3 domain purchase across all registries. So this site does not present fabricated “industry sales” history. Instead it separates sourced ecosystem indicators from illustrative scenarios.

Sourced indicator: global crypto ownership

Freename snapshot

Freename’s Explorer displayed 31,859 TLDs and 500,789 SLDs when checked on 11 September 2026. This is a platform snapshot, not a historical purchase series.

Illustrative 2026–2030 adoption scenario

If global crypto ownership were to grow at progressively moderating rates of 8%, 7%, 6%, 5% and 4% from the 2025 estimate, an illustrative path would be roughly 800M, 856M, 907M, 952M and 990M owners. This is our scenario math, not a forecast from Crypto.com and not a prediction of .dmail demand.

Illustrative Web3 naming demand index: 2023–2030

This is a communication scenario, not measured domain-purchase history. We use an index so the visual cannot be confused with audited sales counts.

All values are an illustrative index created for scenario planning. They are not verified Web3-domain sales, purchase counts or a price forecast.

No price promise. A good name can become unavailable, but future market value is unknowable. The rational “buy now” case is to secure a name you want at a price you accept for its utility, not to assume appreciation.
